Starting a Blog

Starting a blog is as simple as finding a space online to write – and the time to write.  To begin a blog, first develop a theme idea or blog idea.  You may want to look at other people’s blogs to do so.  In general, you will want to develop a central theme for your blog in the same way that columnists develop a theme for their articles.  This helps ensure that your blog is not too “scattered.”

Next, find some place to publish your blog.  There are a number of sites – both paying and free – that give bloggers a chance to publish their material.  You may also want to simply set up your blog on your web site, especially if you already have an active web site.

Writing Your Blog

Once you have a place to publish your blog, you will have to set aside some time each week to develop new content.  When writing your blog:

• Write simply and clearly.  Use small paragraphs and spell check before uploading.  Your readers will trust what you have to say if you say it well.

• Go easy on the advertising.  The idea of a blog is to give readers something fun and exciting to read and look at.  You will have more readers if you comment on the world and are entertaining, rather than just hype your product.  Consider writing about your day, the atmosphere your workplace has, and culture, rather than just your company.

• Consider many types of content. Blogs allow you to upload images, create links, and allow users to make comments.  Your blog will have many more readers if you make your blog exciting with these pluses.

Promoting Your Blog

Just putting your blog online is not enough.  After all, there are many millions of blogs on the web right now, so unless your blog is on a high-traffic site, you may not get readers unless you advertise.   You can easily advertise your blog without spending a cent by mentioning your blog in your emails and web pages or newsletters.  You can also enter in online competitions – if your blog wins a prize you are more likely to get a constant flow of traffic to your blog.  You can also ask ezines and other content providers to review your blog, which will also draw readers.

Everyday when I study the recession-related news online or newspaper, it makes me feel more urgency to be prepared for alternative way to have a better financial reserve. Whether think of ways to increase my existing business or starting a new business to have a multiple income sources.

One of the easiest or fastest way to start my own business is to start an online business.

Selling information products online is one of my favourite ways because the entry cost into this business is minimum and sometimes is free. You also can control your time & capital to invest into the business.

I would like to give you an overview on my simple online business, follow step-by-step:

1. Find a niche market who have an urgent need.
2. Create own info products or finding other people’s products.
3. Build a website & integrate into a marketing funnel system.
4. Promote the website.
5. Follow up with the prospects & buyers on emails.
6. Sell more stuffs on follow up emails.

On my coming blog posts, I will give you a more details on this overview of my simple online business. My purpose is to help more people to have their own online business especially during this financial uncertainty period.

Become a millionaire by just playing with the letters of the alphabet. You don’t even need to create a web site for this one. A good example is Business.com. Business.com sold for over USD7 million some years ago. Those days are long gone, but if you what to do, you can purchase domain names for less than USD10 and resell them for at least 10 or 100 times more, and having willing buyers waiting to buy them from you.

INTERNET BUSINESS MODEL No. 15

If you’re into Multi-Level-Marketing (also known as MLM or Network Marketing), there is no bigger or better medium for you to use than the Internet to help you recruit and sell your products. The total Internet population as of September 2004 was about 934 million. The figure is projected to reach 1.07 billion in Year 2005. With the Internet being global in nature, your downlines can from all over the world! I know of an Internet Entrepreneur who had 215 paid downlines within 4 weeks after joining an Internet MLM, and 4 weeks after that he had 305 paid members! How long does it take you to recruit 305 paid downlines in conventional MLM?
